DISPATCHER APPLICATION

We are looking for Dispatchers to schedule and co-ordinate our drivers to fulfill our customers orders.

Skills and Qualifications:

Completion of Secondary School in a relevant field is required.
Minimum of 2 years of work experience in a managerial or supervisorial position is required.
Fluent in English and good communication skills.
Good organizational skills and attentive to detail.
Ability to work long hours and weekends as required.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate activities of long-haul truck drivers by verifying and keeping records of shipments: shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders and other records.
Organize and manage shipping schedules.
Oversee shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
Inspect material handling equipment and ensure adherence to the fleet maintenance schedule.
Prepare and submit progress reports.
Requisition supplies and materials.
Ensure that drivers receive required training and that they are aware of the transportation policies and procedures.
Answer questions related to road safety, work procedures, customer requirements, etc.
Perform other related duties as required.
